TwIM is a clean, modern messaging experience, powered by Twitter DMs

Using Twitter Direct Messages powers up the messaging experience, by having a massive network of your friends already in-place. No need to fill in contact details for everyone, or convince your friends to use a specific app. Just search and find people you know, then message them.

One of the core ideas behind TwIM is taking the plain message text and displaying it to the user in a way that makes the most sense. As an example — location isn’t officially supported by Twitter, but people can still send a map link with coordinates, and when a message like that comes through in TwIM, rather than display those coordinates, it shows a map instead. There are a number of in-line integrations like this, supporting videos, photos, gifs, emojis, tweets and webpages, and there’ll be more of these to come in the future.

TwIM is deeply integrated across iOS, with support for 3D Touch, Siri and Interactive Notifications.
